Q-SYS AD-DWL.BASE is the dedicated in-ground installation accessory for the AD-DWL.180, AD-DWL.360 and AD-DWL.SUB landscape loudspeaker family. The official hardware manual states that the base includes the bolts, nuts and washers required to attach the loudspeaker collar.
Side knockouts accept standard 12 mm (3/8-inch) conduit clamps for routing loudspeaker wiring. Q-SYS specifies an installation hole at least 275 mm deep and 200 mm in diameter, with the top of the base installed flush with grade. The surrounding hole may be backfilled with compacted soil or concrete. An auger stake may be used in soft or unstable soil, but it is optional and not supplied.
The disposable round lid should remain in place during installation to keep debris out of the cavity. The base is mounting infrastructure only and carries no acoustic performance specification; loudspeaker selection and aiming remain specific to the attached AD-DWL model.
