DPC-6 is a QSC DataPort cable whose model suffix identifies its six-foot stock length. It uses male HD15 connectors to link a Q-SYS DataPort I/O card to a compatible QSC amplifier with a version 1 DataPort interface. Official Q-SYS documentation identifies CX, DCA, PowerLight, PL2 and PL3 amplifier families as supported by that interface.
The DPC-6 is therefore distinct from DPC-2 by documented cable length: DPC-6 is six feet, while DPC-2 is two feet. It is not an ordinary VGA cable even though the connector format looks similar. Q-SYS requires all DataPort conductors and the specified shielding for audio pairs, and warns that generic VGA cables can perform incorrectly or damage connected amplifiers.
For installation, the male connectors attach to the DataPort sockets and their thumbscrews are tightened by hand. Compatibility must be checked against the exact amplifier and DataPort interface; this legacy cable should not be assumed compatible with products that do not provide a QSC v1 DataPort.
